World Heart Day: National Society of Cardiac Nurses inaugurated at ECHO platform

Tagline of the society is ‘Caring Hands for Healthy Hearts’, which is related to the theme of World Heart Day 2020.

New Delhi: On the occasion of World Heart Day, the National Society of Cardiac Nurses (SOCN) (Registered) was inaugurated by virtual video conferencing at ECHO Platform, which includes all 30 states. This is the first society of Cardiac Nurses at national level.

Tagline of the society is ‘Caring Hands for Healthy Hearts’, which is related to the theme of World Heart Day 2020.

Mr Neeraj Kumar Swarnkar, President of this society (SOCN) welcomed all the members. Then, Dr L Gopichandran, founder president, SOCN mentioned about the goals and visions of society.

The chief guest of this programme Dr Roy K George, President, Trained Nurses Association of India (TNIA) revealed World Heart Day 2020 theme ‘Use heart to beat CVD’.

Later on, Ms Dainy Thomas, Secretary SOCN explores about growth and development of the society in future.
Total 975 members attended the programme (including 27 state representatives).

Objective of this Society:

To provide facility for continued growth and development of the nursing professionals in terms of excellence in research, quality patient care, practice and make skillful nurses for patient care across the country in the Cardiology and CTVS department.
