New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s suspicion over the increased number of cloudburst incidents across the nation being a ‘foreign conspiracy’ turned into the most trending topic of the day on Sunday.

During his official visit to flood-affected Bhadrachalam city in the state, Rao said in a public meeting, “There is a new phenomenon called cloudburst. There are reports that foreign countries are deliberately planning cloudburst accidents at various locations in the country”.

“First they did it in Leh-Ladakh, then in Uttarakhand, and now they have reportedly targeted the region around the Godavari river”, he added.

Rao, who further visited the shelter homes and met the affected people in the Bhadrachalam region, went viral for his bizarre statement about a natural phenomenon.
