World Water Day: PM Modi launches ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign | Top Points

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the campaign will be undertaken across the country, in both rural and urban areas, with the theme “catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls”.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched  the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain’ campaign on World Water Day, which is celebrated on March 22.

While interacting, PM Modi said that people from Rajasthan, Gujarat understand water-related problems well.

“I’m also from Gujarat, faced such problems too. That’s why in Union Water Ministry, we have a minister from the region with such issues,” said PM Modi during launch of ‘Catch the Rain’ movement.
