Yoga on road, Lifting bicycle on shoulders: Unique punishment to lockdown violators in Kanpur
In the video that has gone viral, people can be seen lined on the road, standing at a safe distance from each other and performing various yoga asanas while being supervised by the cops themselves.
New Delhi: While enforcing the lockdown, the Kanpur Police is handing out health and unique punishment to violators. Despite govt’s clear directions and Prime Minister’s appeal, many continue to flout the rules and hit the streets for as frivolous reasons like morning walk.
The Kanpur Police has devised a healthy punishment for morning walkers or someone who come on the streets for mere ‘joy walking’. Such law-defying people are rounded up and made to do a yoga session on the roads.

Another set of violators, mainly the bicycle riders and bike riders were penalised too. Many bikes were flattened by puncturing the tyres to teach the violators a lesson while the bicycle riders were made to lift the bicycle on their shoulders and carry it home.
