Yogi’s zero tolerance policy towards crime is showing positive results in the state. The state police appear to be far more alert than earlier. The 1995-batch IPS officer, Noida police commissioner, Alok Singh-led UP police is fiercely working against criminal activities with highest number of crime related arrests and encounters in the district.
In the same row, Noida Police busted two gangsters involved in car-lifting on Monday, August 02. UP cops encountered with the auto-lifters during a random check at a check post in sector 24. One of the gangster was arrested after he was shot in the leg, in the counter firing by the UP Police while the other is absconding.
The injured accused Shahrukh alias ‘chana’, is a native of Meerut in Uttarpradesh and is also a member of interstate auto-lift ‘Kabootar’ gang, he revealed in the interrogation. This auto lift gang has been auto-lifting luxurious cars in the district for for last two years.
The accused Shahrukh was seen crying and begging for his life after he was shot in the leg in the encounter. Shahrukh has been admitted in the hostipal. Police is further investigating in the matter.
