Zee News anchor Rohit Ranjan arrested over airing of misleading clips of Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Noida Police arrested Zee News anchor Rohit Ranjan over airing of misleading clips about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

This comes a day after he misquoted Rahul Gandhi’s video statement and had subsequently corrected himself on a TV broadcast.

A case has been filed against him at Noida Sector-20 Police Station.

Also, a video showed scuffle between Chhattisgarh police and the police in Noida who tried to take Rohit Ranjan along with them. However, he was taken away by the Noida police.

Earlier today, a team from Chhattisgarh Police had arrived at his residence in ​​Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area to arrest him.

The Journalist took to Twitter to inform that Chhattisgarh Police is standing outside his house to arrest him without informing the local police. He even asked if it was legal. Ranjan also tagged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ADG Zone Lucknow and SSP Ghaziabad.
