City on a standstill due to Fuel Strike
The fuel supply was majorly affected in the city due to the truck strike by the drivers against the hit and run law. However the government rolled back the decision and assured the truck drivers that they will consult them without implementing any law in future. The new law implements strict penalties for driver who cause hit and run accidents. They were imposed a fine of Rs 7 lakh and a punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
