Ganesh Chaturthi 2022: Try out these Laddoo recipes at home to please Lord Ganesha.

New Delhi: Ganesh Chaturthi is jus round the corner and preparation have begun in full swing across the country. Ganesh Chturthi is celebrated every year and it usually falls in the end of August and beginning of September.

Apart from making of the idols to arranging of decors the preparations also involve lots of good food.

Devotees offer Lord Ganesh, modaks as it is said to be his favourite. Modaks are dumpling-shaped sweet meats and is always prepared on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Laddoos are also offered to him as he loves it.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi,  try out 5 Laddoo recipes to please Lord Ganesh.

1.   Motichoor Laddoo: It is one of the easiest and most common kinds of laddoos that are often made or prepared at home on several special occasions. Mini sweet balls are put together and bound with each other with the help of boondis. Small little balls are prepared with the hands and once done it is topped with chopped pistachios on top. But make sure you don’t eat it without offering it to Lord Ganesh.

2. Atta Laddoo: To make atta laddoo all you need to have is wheat flour or atta, tossed and roasted in a pot with powdered sugar or jaggery and fried in ghee. Cool it down, then make small balls out of it. Add some dry fruits like almonds and cashews and then offer it to Lord Ganesh.

3. Til Laddoo: Til or sesame seeds, laddoos are often prepared with it during the winters but it can also be prepared for Lord Ganesha. Get some white sesame seeds, combined with ghee and jaggery, add some chopped dry fruits in it. Also, dont forget to stir the jaggery continuously and softened before being added to the laddoos.

4.  Churma Laddoo: Churma Laddoo is one of the specialty that is made with wheat flour and jaggery by the people of Rajasthan. The laddoos are prepared with the help of churma that is added to dal baati churma combination. The churma is prepared by continuously roasting the wheat flour with jaggery. It is roasted in ghee and sesame seeds which is  added for the crunch.

5.   Coconut Laddoo: Take coconut powder or peel the coconut and then roast it in ghee with some cardamom powder, milk and sugar. Add some nuts like cashews with some grated jaggery for additional sweetness. The roll the mixture into small ball and then offer it to Lord Ganesh.
