Perfume Day 2023: How and where to apply perfume to make it last all day long

New Delhi: February 17th is a day dedicated to lovers of fragrances and the celebration of heavenly aromas all around the world.

“You smell nice” is one of the best compliments one can receive. The aura of fragrance is like an invisible crown, making you appear more confident and attractive.

Therefore, the usage of Perfumes in day-to-day life is centuries old. From lurking in nature to find that alluring scent to producing artificial pheromones, we have come a long way.

When we find our perfect match in fragrances, the next struggle is to make it last the entire day.

Therefore, on the occasion of Perfume Day, we are going to share with you some secrets about the application of perfumes.

Where to apply perfume

You must be aware of the fact that perfume smells differently on different individuals. The reason behind this is that it gets mixed with our natural scent and heat.

So, in order to make your perfume last longer, you need to detect those pulse points on your body that produce heat.
Similarly, you wouldn’t want to spray it on a place where sweat accumulates.

Some common pulse points to spray perfume are:

Wrist
Cleavage
Behind the base of the neck
Collarbones
Knees

You can also invest in a hair perfume if you want to splash a whiff of fragrance every time to flip your hair. Or you can simply spray some on your comb.

How to apply perfume

Most people are unaware of the correct method of applying or wearing perfume.
The ideal way to apply perfume is just as you exit the shower when your skin is still a bit damp. Then, you should lock in the scent by layering it with a moisturizer.

Another thing you can do to smell good all day long is to spritz your perfume and walk in while those tiny little droplets are still in the air.

Also, spray the perfume from at least 5-7 cm away from your body. Never touch the nozzle to your skin while spraying the perfume.
