Race between brothers: Can you tell who wins the race in this puzzle challenge?

Given that they are running at the same speed, the older brother will again finish the first as he did earlier.

New Delhi: As we all know that solving puzzles helps us to think critically, creatively and logically in our daily lives. To improve your brain capacity, we have brought another puzzle challenge for you. The new puzzle revolves around two brothers — younger and older — who have decided to run a 100m race to reach a shop.

Marathon race

Situation: In the race, the older brother won the race, crossing the line at the exact moment when the younger brother covers the 90m distance. After the first race, they decide to race back to their home from the shop for the same distance they ran.

Condition: The younger brother requested his big brother to start further away from home than him as it will help him to win the race easily. The older brother accepted the challenge and retreated back 10m and run 110m from the shop to home.

Question: If both brothers run at the same constant speeds, who is going win the race and get the first prize?

Trophy

Answer: The older brother won the match, defeating his younger brother for the second time.

How we cracked the puzzle?

According to the condition, the older one will first cover 100m while the younger brother cover 90m at the same time. The rest 10m distance for the duo will decide the result of the match. Given that they are running at the same speed, the older brother will again finish the first as he did earlier.
