‘Serendipity’: A must read Twitter thread on ring that always finds its way back to ‘her’

“When I was 14yo, a boy gave me a ‘friendship’ ring. 9ct gold. Quarter moons and stars engraved on it; cost him one week’s pay”

New Delhi: Most of us have lost at least one of our very much loved rings at once, and have regretted it for days, and sometimes for the rest of our lives. But what if, you come across a ring that always happens to find its way back to you? If you find that hard to believe, there’s a Twitter thread just made for you!

A Twitter user recently shared a mystique story of human interest about a ring that kept coming back to her under any circumstances.

Read:

“When I was 14yo, a boy gave me a ‘friendship’ ring. 9ct gold. Quarter moons and stars engraved on it; cost him one week’s pay”

“We were “going steady.” And then I dropped him. Of course I handed back the ring. The boy was a very good cricket fast bowler. He bowled that ring down the road hard as he could in anger and last I saw it—a glint of gold flew off into the horse paddock way down the street”, she added.

“And I thought “well that’s the last anyone will ever see of that.” Fast forward 20 years, I ran into his sister who was wearing the ring. “Jenny, do you remember this? My brother had the whole family crawling around that paddock for hours the next day until we found it!”, she further wrote.

The woman further describes an incredible journey of how the ring keeps coming back to her no matter what.

“A rather surly looking 14yo Jenny wearing the ring”, she wrote in the end along with an adorable throwback pic of herself with the ring.
