New Delhi: The world will witness a partial solar eclipse on October 25, and this will also be visible in some parts of India, a day after Diwali.
The solar eclipse of the Surya Grahan will be visible in many parts as it will take place in the afternoon before sunset.
In India, some areas like the eastern regions will be able to see it including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Also in the North Easters regions, including Silchar, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Aizwal, Tamelong, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, and others.
When does a solar eclipse take place?
It is said that a solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, distracting the sun’s light from reaching the earth. Following this, the moon casts a shadow on the earth, resulting in a solar eclipse.
Can this be watched with the naked eye?
It is always suggested to not watch the eclipse with the naked eye. Experts say that even if the eclipse is watched for a short period of time but it can cause lifelong eye damage resulting in blindness.
