What food you should eat during periods ?

Here is the list of food one can consume:

New Delhi: We are living in the 21st century but there is still stereotype related to periods. The period is the cycle in which a woman bleeds for a few days. It does not just end here. There are many hormonal changes, many people have uncomfortable and painful symptoms of menstruation. The worst part is cravings. While some of them help you relieve your pain other foods worsen the pain.

Here is the list of food one can consume:

* Iron: On average when a woman bleeds she loses 3-5 tablespoons of blood. Periods cause anaemia in many women and only iron can help meet this deficiency.

*Water: Staying hydrated is very important by drinking an adequate amount of water there will be no or fewer chances of headache.

*Chicken: Chicken is another source of protein. During menses, one usually gets uncontrollable cravings. Chicken helps to curb the cravings and make you feel full and stated.

*Dark Chocolate: There is very much hype about dark chocolate, it is said that a 100-gram bar of 70 to 85 per cent contains 67% of magnesium.

*Fruit: Having water-rich fruits like watermelons and cucumber, are great for staying hydrated. This fruit will give you provided sugar that your body needs.

*Green Leafy Vegetables: If your blood level is heavy or your complaints about dizziness, fatigue then you should definitely consume green Leafy Vegetables.

*Ginger: Adding ginger to warm tea can curb muscle pain. Ginger may also reduce nausea. Consuming more than 4 grams in one day could cause heartburn and stomachaches.
