New Delhi: Necrophilia, is a paraphilia (sexual interests) in which the perpetrator gets sexual pleasure in having sex with the dead. Such cases were earlier reported in Pakistan in which people suffering from necrophilia have taken out the bodies of dead girls from their graves and developed sexual relations with them.
What is Necrophilia?
Necrophilia, is defined as a sexual relation or attraction with the corpses and the dead bodies.
Necrophilia is derived from the Greek language, where “necro” means dead body and “philia” means love.
This disorder is also known as necrophilism, necrolagnia, necrocytus, necrolysis, and thanatophilia.
Although, the act of necrophilia, is nor defined as illegal by law in several counties, but it is deemed unnatural and frowned upon.
Necrophilia can be called a very serious type of mental illness.
It is also said that person with Necrophilia does not hesitate to kill someone even in the desire to have sex with the dead body.
This act of Necrophilia is also seen as a psychological disease.
Mostly man suffers from Necrophilia.
Some of cases of necrophilia
The first case of necrophilia was found in California in 1948. The man had killed about 50 women and had sex with their dead bodies.
Well, in 2011, similar case was reported from Pakistan.
Some of the cases of necrophilia that revolve around notorious serial killers include Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer, both of whom confessed to having sex with their victims’ dead bodies after brutally murdering them.
