New Delhi: Indian musician Rickey Kej won his second Grammy with Stewart Copeland at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
In the event held at MGM Grand Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas, Kej greeted the audience with a Namaste from the stage. The duo won the esteemed honor for their music album ‘Devine Tides’ in the Best New Age Album category.
Sharing the update with his fans and followers on social media, Kej wrote, “So grateful to have won the Grammy Award for our album Divine Tides. Absolutely love this living-legend standing next to me – Stewart Copeland. Love all of you too! This is my 2nd Grammy Award and Stewart’s 6th”.

Who is Rickey Kej?
Kej was born in North Carolina in 1981, and has lived in Bengaluru since he was 8. He comes from a multicultural half-Punjabi, half-Marwari family.
After completing his schooling at Bishop Cotton School in Bengaluru, Kej finished his degree in dentistry from Oxford Dental College.
Rickey comes from a family with a long medical background. His father and grandfather, both belonged to the medical profession and Kej had to complete the family condition of completing a degree in medicine before he was permitted to try a hand in the music industry.
However, Kej’s mother Pammi believes that his interest and talent in art is inherited from his late grandfather Janaki Das, who was an actor, Olympic cyclist, and freedom fighter.
Rickey Kej married his long-time girlfriend Varsha in the year 2014.
