2023 records
Indian women’s team enjoyed a perfect record in test matches in 2023, as they won two out of two matches they played this year, against England women’s team and Australian women’s team this year.
India created the record of registering the biggest win in the history of the women’s test matches by the margin of runs, i.e., 347 runs, against the English side, while also registering their first-ever test match victory against the mighty Aussie side.\
However, the Indian women’s cricket team had a rather underwhelming record in One Day Internationals as out of five matches they played this year, they only emerged victorious in one, lost three, while one match ended in a draw.
On the contrary, the women in blue enjoyed a successful year in T20 Internationals in 2023, as out of 19 T20Is which they played in 2023, they emerged victorious in 11 while losing nine and two matches ending up as no contest.
Indian women’s team also won their first-ever Asian Games gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games.
