New Delhi: In the fourth test between India & Australia, wicketkeeper KS Bharat’s folly on the field could have costed Team India dearly, however R Ashwin’s damage control on time saved the blushes for Men in Blue.
Bharat lost an easy catch of Australian cricketer Travis Head, thus giving him a lifeline and early advantage for the visitors, on 1st day of the fourth test at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium.
Bharat failed to claim Travis wicket as ball came straight to him after touching latter’s bat. The Australian batter got a big lifeline as Bharat missed his catch. However, the folly didn’t invite bigger trouble for Team India as R Ashwin came to Bharat’s qruick and sent Travis packing for 32 runs off 44 balls.
However, soon after Bharat dropped an easy catch, Rishabh Pant became the talking point among cricket fans & netizens. A lot many took to Twitter to share their disappointment & displeasure over Bharat dropping an easy catch. Many of them started a meme wave and recalled the times when Rishabh Pant did the wicket-keeping job for Men in Blue.
KS Bharat was picked up as Team India’s full-time wicket-keeper on back of his exquisite skills, however, today was not a good day for him. Besides dropping an ‘absolute sitter’, he also missed many leg byes.
