New Delhi: Arshdeep Singh who has been sidelined from the red ball team of India seems to hit his groove in the white ball in the ongoing T20I series against South Africa. Recently, the left-arm seamer became the second-highest wicket-taker in the T20Is surpassing Jasprit Bumrah.
In T20Is, Arshdeep has picked up 92 wickets from 59 innings at an economy rate of 8.34 and an average of 18.47. The India pacer is now four wickets short of leapfrogging Yuzvendra Chahal and becoming India’s top wicketer in the shortest format. In the third T20I match of the series, Arshdeep Singh even surpassed Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Abhishek redeems himself from poor form
Sharma has been going through a rough patch in recent times. After finding his footing during the Zimbabwe series with a stunning century, the left-hander experienced a drought in the runs in his next 8 innings. The left-hander did not exceed the 20-run mark as well during this time.
In total, he has managed to score only 70 runs which included three single-digit scores. Despite being given the responsibility to open the batting, he has struggled to provide India with a solid start that the team expects from him.
Subsequently, in the first T20I, Abhishek could only manage to score 7 runs, followed by a mere 4 runs in the second innings at Port Elizabeth. However, the southpaw has redeemed himself perfectly and will look to make a similar impact in the 4th T20I.
However, Sharma’s inning was dwarfed by the century of Tilak Verma who hit a blistering ton in the 3rd T20I. Varma hit 107* runs from 56 balls which included 8 fours and 7 sixes and powered India to 219/6 in the first inning.
