Asia Cup 2022: Indian team takes day-off, enjoys surfing, volleyball…WATCH

New Delhi: Indian team has already qualified for the Super 4 of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 after winning a thrilling game against Pakistan and then defeating Hong Kong. The team took a day off and went to hit the beach to relax. BCCI shared a video of Indian players enjoying the waters in UAE.

In the video, the players can be seen indulging in various fun activities like the beach ball, surfing and boating. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi were seen surfing while the spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen paddling a boat. Chahal, in the video, also tells the viewers that it was a day off for the team and coach Rahul Dravid decided that the team should have some fun activities. He added, “It was good fun, relaxing. We had some great fun. You can see how everyone is happy and excited. This all helps in creating team bonding.”

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, the star of the first game was seen sitting and relaxing. The players were also joined by the coaching and the support staff. While sharing the video, BCCI wrote, “When #TeamIndia hit ?.?.?.?.?.?! Time for some surf, sand & beach volley!”

Team India scored 192 against Hong Kong in their last game when Virat Kohli hit a half-century and Suryakumar Yadav fire-powered 68* of just 26 balls, hitting four sixes in the finals over. Hong Kong could manage 152/5 after Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and Ravindra Jadeja took a wicket each. India will now face the winner of the Pakistan-Hong Kong game in the Super 4.
