Asian Games 2023: Here is India’s schedule on October 6, where medals are expected

In today’s game, badminton stars Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy are India’s big bets in the men’s double semi-finals.

New Delhi: Giving its best ever performance in the Asian Games 2023, the Indian contingent is on Cloud nine and looking to consolidate the gains further in China’s Hangzhou.

With the onset of Day 13, Team India is all set to make fresh addition in the medals tally. India recorded its best performance in squash yesterday and cricket team today gave Bangladesh a big drubbing to enter the finals today.
A lot of hope is riding on the Indian wrestlers whose bout are scheduled in final leg of the Games.

In today’s game, badminton stars Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy are India’s big bets in the men’s double semi-finals. Shuttler HS Prannoy is also in the spotlight over his highly probable medal victory. Wrestler Bajrang Punia will have the nation’s hopes riding on him, owing to his past exploits in international bouts.

Here is Team India’s schedule on Day 13 @ Asian Games

Archery:

11:00 AM: Men’s recurve team will participate in quarter-final. Post victory, they will march into semi-final and rekindle hopes of medal win.

Chess:

12:30 PM: Men’s team will play Round 8. Players include India’s young prodigy Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa along with Gukesh D, Vidit Gujrathi, Arjun Erigaisi, Pentala Harikrishna

12:30 PM: Women’s team in Round 8 and will have Koneru Humpy, Harika Dronavalli, Vaishali Rameshbabu, Vantika Agrawal, Savitha Shri B fighting for title

Hockey:

4:00 PM: It’s a medal event for Team India, which means that a medal is assured. It will vie against Japan in the final and assured of medal, even if lose.

Kabaddi:

12:30 PM: Arch rivals India & Pakistan teams will have face-off in the semi-final.

Sepaktakraw:

11:30 AM: If India qualifies, Men’s team will play in regu semi-finals
1:00 PM: If women’s team qualifies, they will play in regu semi-finals

Wrestling:

A couple of wrestling bouts are scheduled today. The most watched event would be Bajrang Punia’s 65-kg bout. Other wrestlers include Women’s freestyle 62kg (Sonam Malik), 68kg (Radhika), 76kg (Kiran)

In men’s wrestling, Aman Sehrawat in 57kg category will be keenly watched.
