New Delhi: It was a moment that tennis lovers would cherish for years to come. The epic clash between World No 1 Carlos Alcaraz and World No 2 Novak Djokovic led to highly charged up atmosphere on the tennis field with one breaking down while other erupting & exulting in joy.

Novak Djokovic erupted in joy & celebration as he put the World No 1 on mat in the ‘revenge’ match. He tore off shirt and jubilantly celebrated the emphatic victory while Alcaraz broke into tears. A video of the impassioned moments after clash of titans has gone viral on social media and dubbed by tennis lovers as ‘memorable moment that won’t fade away’.

Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the final clash of Cincinnati Open 2023 on Sunday. As the match came in backdrop of thrilling Wimbledon final, where the 36-old Serbian player was outclassed by young Alcaraz, the stage was already set for a high-voltage encounter.

As Djokovic defeated his 16-year-old younger rival in the Cincinnati final, this was seen as revenge match and an opportunity for the former to settle scores. And, the Serbian did rise to occasion. Though, Alacaraz looked in control of the game, Djokovic made a dramatic return in the game and trounced his rival with 5-7, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4) and lifted his 39th Masters 1000 title.

While Alcaraz kept command over the game but Djokovic bounced from behind and outclassed World No 1 in the 3.49 hours long tournament. Following this,

Alcaraz was crestfallen. He was seen crying copiously and burying his face in the towel while Djokovic breaking into jubilant celebration. While he tore off his T-shirt, the euphoria and elation was also reflected in the audience.

The Wimbledon final 2023 was another historic clash of the year, which garnered global headlines. All time great Djokovic was driven to tears after being outclassed by Alcaraz in the enthralling clash and then this showed up in his speech later.
