As Djokovic defeated his 16-year-old younger rival in the Cincinnati final, this was seen as revenge match and an opportunity for the former to settle scores. And, the Serbian did rise to occasion. Though, Alacaraz looked in control of the game, Djokovic made a dramatic return in the game and trounced his rival with 5-7, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4) and lifted his 39th Masters 1000 title.
