New Delhi: Lionel Messi has done it again to win consecutive COPA America titles and become the most successful footballer with 45 trophies. The 37-year-old Argentine who started his trophy list back in 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup has won it all and surpassed fellow Brazilian legend and former Barcelona player Dani Alves. Interestingly, Argentina repeated the feat set by Spain more than than a decade ago.

The game marred by a ton of confusion and chaos in Miami saw a delayed start. Subsequently, a cagey game with many tactical fouls and rough tackles followed. Eventually, the first causality of the night emerged in the form of Lionel Messi who limped off to the dugout in the 66th minute.
