Cricketer suffers heart attack during match, dies; shocking VIDEO of incident surfaces

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a cricketer suffered a heart attack and died while playing cricket in Pune district of Maharashtra. The incident is of Junnar Taluka tehsil in Pune.

The incident happened while the cricket match was underway. The player standing on the non-striker end suffered a major heart attack, collapsed on the field and reportedly died on the spot.

The tragic incident has been captured on camera. In the video, the cricketer can be seen falling on the ground. He is seen collapsing while he was about to move to the striker end.

The cricketer has been identified as Babu Nalawade and was 47 year old. After the cardiac arrest, he was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.

The cricket match was being played between local cricketing unions namely Ojhar Sangh and Jaamboot Sangh.

Previous incidents of heart attack on cricket pitch

Two years ago, Mumbai cricket player Vaibhav Kesarkar suffered heart attack on the field while playing local cricket match which resulted in his death. The unfortunate incident took place on December 23, 2018.

Playing in tennis-ball cricket tournament in central Mumbai’s Bhandup region, the 24-year old complained about the chest pain which caused him severe uneasiness during the match.

Kesarkar was taken to the nearby hospital, where he was declared dead after check-up. Apparently, Kesarkar continued to bat despite the chest pain and severe discomfort.

He used to represent various teams while playing local cricket tournaments.
