Debutants Scotland announce their squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

The debutants of this year’s T20 Women’s World Cup 2024, Scotland have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming World Cup. 

New Delhi: The debutants of this year’s T20 Women’s World Cup 2024, Scotland have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming World Cup. The Scottish team will be led by their captain, all-rounder Kathryn Bryce. Bryce last appeared in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024 in May this year in UAE. Bryce had a fantastic outing with the bat and ball during the entire tournament scoring 177 runs with the bat and scalping 9 wickets with the ball which led to the qualification in the maiden Women’s T20 World Cup.

Kathryn will be joined by her sister Sarah Bryce who is the wicket-keeper and vice-captain of the team. The squad is further strengthened by the addition of experienced leg-spinner Abtaha Maqsood as well as Priyanaz Chatterji, Katherine Fraser and Megan McColl.

Seeing the makeup of the final squad, head coach Craig Wallace seemed confident of a strong performance in the upcoming tournament. Wallace further added-

The make-up and balance of this squad is outstanding. We’ve got match-winners from start to finish within it, which I think is the big difference in the evolution of this squad during my short tenure….
