Heather Knight is set to lead a young and dynamic England squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup as the ECB released the full list of players on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Heather Knight is set to lead a young and dynamic England squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup as the ECB released the full list of players. This will be Knight’s ninth edition as captain of the England women’s cricket team. The ECB, which is the apex body of English cricket selected the set of players based on domestic performances.

Speaking about her experience over the years in leading the national side, Knight said-

World Cups are always special events to be involved in as a player and I’m really excited by the squad we have selected to take over to the UAE. It’s an honour to lead the team into another World Cup. We’re looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead…

The English women’s side also has some notable absentees in Tammy Beaumont, Kate Cross and young quick Lauren Filer. Meanwhile, exciting talents like Linsey Smith, pacer Lauren Bell, all-rounder Dani Gibson and wicket-keeper batter Bess Heath have found a call from the national side.
