Delhi Test: R Ashwin sends top Aussie batters packing in one over (WATCH)

New Delhi: In the ongoing India-Australia Test match series of Border Gavaskar Trophy, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is on fire.

On Day 1 of the Delhi Test, Ashwin scalped quick wickets and put the visitors on backfoot. The star spinner in just 1 over took wickets of top Australian batters including Labuschagne and Steve Smith.

As Ashwin sent the top order batsmen packing, the packed stadium reverberated with cheers & applause for the leg-arm spinner.

In the 23rd of Test match, Ashwin picked 2 wickets namely Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith. Remember, both are currently ranking as Number 1 and Number 2 players in World Test best ranking batsmen. He took Marnus wicket on 4th ball of the over and then picked Smith wicket for a duck.

Ashwin has already become the fastest bowler to take 450 wickets in Test match. He follows India’s legendary spinner Anil Kumble on number of wickets, not just in total but also in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He is on the brink of becoming 2nd bowler after Anil Kumble to claim more than 100 wickets in India-Australia clashes.
