New Delhi: MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev were seen enjoying the US Open quarterfinals between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner on Thursday. The two cricket legends were seen at the stands with the celebrity chef Vikas Khanna. Sony Sports Network shared a video where the two enjoyed the match that resulted in Alcaraz defeating Sinner to enter the final-finals. Sharing the video, Sony Sports Network captioned it as, “Indian cricketing royalty at the US Open.”

The US Open quarterfinals lasted for more than 5 hours. Alcaraz led the competition by 6-3, 6-7 (7/9), 6-7 (0/7), 7-5, 6-3, over Sinner. On Saturday, the 19-year-old will face the challenge against American Frances Tiafoe in the semifinal match.
Dhoni has always loved tennis as he was previously spotted attending the Wimbledon quarterfinal game between Rafael Nadal and Taylor Fritz in July this year.

Dhoni will be next seen on the cricket field with the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League next year. The Chennai Super Kings management has confirmed that he will be leading the team again on the 16th edition. “MS Dhoni will lead the CSK team in the next year of the IPL tournament,” said CSK’s CEO Kasi Vishwanathan.
Initially, Dhoni passed on his captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja at the start of the IPL this year. However, Jadeja relinquished captaincy to focus on his form, Dhoni took up the captaincy once again from the mid-season. Chennai Super Kings accounted for four victories from their 14 games, and the four time IPL winner finished at the second position from the bottom.
