Dinesh Kartik’s witty reply to X user, when latter sought prediction about his marriage

Dinesh’s words about Chennai’s pitch and Ravindra Jadeja’s performance turned out to be prophetic as Indian spinners received significant assistance from the Chepuk Pitch during the match against Australia on Sunday.

New Delhi: Former Indian Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik was recently puzzled by a Twitter (X) user who asked the cricketer a weird question regarding his marriage.

Dinesh too responded to the user with a hilarious answer and the same is now winning over the internet.

Fan’s bizarre query for Dinesh

Ahead of India’s opening encounter with Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023 in Chennai on Sunday, Local boy Dinesh Karthik dropped a picture of the Chepauk Stadium while predicting that the pitch is going to be a turning track that will favor spinners.

The 38-year-old cricketer also predicted that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will have an amazing day on the ground saying, “This pitch will turn. Jadeja have a super day today.”

In the comment section of Dinesh’s post, one internet user tried to mess with the cricketer and asked him a cheeky question.

He wrote, “DK bhai meri shadi ka b bata do kab hogi” (Dinesh please tell me when I will get married)

Dinesh Karthik’s Hillarious Response

Responding to his fan’s weird question, Dinesh came up with a creative answer and wrote, “Bhai main match ka bata sakta hu… matchmaking ka nahi” (Brother I can only tell about the match, not about matchmaking.”

DK’s Prophetic words

Meanwhile, Dinesh’s words about Chennai’s pitch and Ravindra Jadeja’s performance turned out to be prophetic as Indian spinners received significant assistance from the Chepuk Pitch during the match against Australia on Sunday.

Thanks to the heroic spells by the Indian bowling unit, the men in blue managed to bowl out the mighty Aussies with just 199 runs (49.3 overs) on the board.

Although every Indian bowler gave a tough time to the Australians in Chennai, it was Ravindra Jadeja who stood out from the rest and walked away with the glory by taking three crucial wickets in his 10 over-long spell.

The 34-year-old left-arm spinner started his attack by claiming the wicket of Steven Smith in the 28th over of the game. He then went on the dismiss Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carry to break down the spine of the Aussie batting attack.

Besides Jadega, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Kuldeep Yadav also showcased their exceptional bowling skills by claiming 2 wickets each.

Dinesh Karthik picks WC’s Semi-finalists

Previously, Dinesh Karthik also picked up 4 teams he thinks are most likely to make it to the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Out of the 10 Participating Nations, the wicketkeeper picked host India, defending champion England, 5-time championship Australia, and 1-time champion Pakistan as the 4 most probable finalists of the tournament.

While India began their World Cup journey on a high note by defeating mighty Australia with 6 wickets to spare in their opening game of the tournament in Chenni’s P Chidambram Stadiums on Sunday, England received a crushing defeat against their arch-rival New Zealand who won the World cup’s opening game by beating the defending champions with 9 wickets in Ahmadabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday.
