New Delhi: At just the beginning of Euro tournament, bad news seem be trickling in.
In a heartbreaking development, Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field in the ongoing match against Finland today, sending distressing signals from the field.
The medical staff performed CPR on Eriksen, with his distraught Denmark team-mates left in tears as the procedures were taking place.
Shocking scene grips stadium
The shocking scenes happened towards the end of the first half or the teams’ opening match. Shocked fans in Copenhagen’s Parken stadium looked on in horror as medics tended to the former Spurs star.
There were visible efforts from the medical staff to resuscitate Eriksen with CPR and a defibrillator, as his Danish teammates formed a wall around him, reported CNN News.
