‘He has been my Idol’: Yash Dhull keen to learn from his idol Virat Kohli

In the upcoming 15th season of IPL tournament to commence from March 26 onwards, Dhull will be seen playing on the behalf of Delhi Capitals

New Delhi: A long-nurtured dream of India’s young rising skipper Yash Dhull of ICC U-19 World Cup winning team is to be accomplished soon.

The 19-year-old U-19 team’s captain Dhull is eager to meet his cricket idol, Virat Kohli, and keen to learn from him in the upcoming 15th season of Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to commence from March 26 onwards.

In the upcoming 15th season, Dhull will be seen playing on the behalf of Delhi Capitals. He was bought by Delhi at the last player auction during a mega event in Mumbai recently.

The U-19 World Cup winning team’s captain was picked by the Delhi Capital franchise for Rs 50 Lakhs.

In a latest interview, the India skipper talked about his excitement for finally being able to meet with his idol, as well his plans for the upcoming mega tournament.

In conversation with English Daily Times of India, Dhull said, “I am eager to meet Virat bhaiya. He has been my inspiration. I have always idolised him. I want to interact with him and take a lot of tips from him.”

“I want to ask him how he bats in crunch and high-pressure games, how he manages to control his mind, and how he took his fitness to another level. I have led the under-19 team but the way Virat bhaiya handled his team and players was amazing.”

“I want to ask him how he managed his team and ensured his players stay pressure-free so that they can put in their best performances”, he added.

For the unversed, Dhull captained the U-19 Indian Cricket team to the ICC U-19 World Cup title earlier this year, defeating England in the finals.
