‘I don’t sledge…’: Naveen-ul-Haq talks about sledging with LSG teammate Avesh Khan (WATCH)

Naveen ul Haq who was recently in the news for a sledging incident with RCB batter Virat Kohli opened up about sledging and shared a hilarious incident from a first-class game.

New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants pacers Naveen-ul-Haq and Avesh Khan had a fun conversation in a video shared by the franchise. The pacers picked up chits and asked each other the question mentioned on them. When asked about sledging, Naveen stated that he does not sledge anyone upfront and added that it is not his habit. Sharing an incident, the Afghan bowler said that in a first-class game, he was on the non-striker’s end and the batter on strike got sledged. The fielder on the silly point was newly married and was asking the bowler to finish the game quickly as he had some unfinished work at home.

Avesh also teased him and asked to share some serious incident while Naveen dodged the question.

In the game between RCB and LSG, there was an exchange of words between Naveen and Kohli during the game, which escalated to become a feud between Virat and LSG coach Gautam Gambhir.

Avesh Khan was asked about the incident when he broke the helmet after finishing the chase gainst RCB. He was trolled for throwing away the helmet while he did not score a single run in the game. Talking about the incident, Avesh said that he was expecting Ayush Badoni to finish the game, but he, Jaydev Unadkat and Mark Wood got out after which he had to play. He revealed that he did not have a helmet and he picked up Nicholas Pooran’s helmet, which he broke after the chase.

In the video, Avesh can also be seen singing a song for Naveen as he dedicated ‘Yeh Dosti’ from Sholay to his teammate.

LSG, which is placed in the fifth position on the points table, will face SRH on May 13 at 3:30 pm in an away game.
