New Delhi: Suryakumar Yadav is back at the number 2 spot after the 36-ball 69 runs inning against Australia. Meanwhile, Babar Azam has claimed a spot to be at number 3 and Mohammad Rizwan has retained his top spot in the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has also jumped a spot while KL Rahul went down four positions.
India, the number 1 T20I team, saw some good batting contributions in the bilateral series against Australia, and the results were clear in the rankings. Suryakumar Yadav is playing at another level at the moment his cracking innings are winning matches for his side. Among Indian bowlers, Axar Patel, the Player of the Series against Australia, jumped from 33rd to the 18th spot. Yuzvendra Chahal gained two spots while Bhuvaneshwar Kumar slipped one to be in the 10th position.
In the India-Australia series Indian captain, Rohit Sharma gained one spot after his fireworks in the eight-over game, while Matthew Wade jumped six places. Cameron Green, Australia’s star all-rounder, went up 31 places to 67th rank and Tim David gained big and jumped up 202 places to 109th rank. Green was the highest run-scorer in the series with 118 runs with a strike rate of 214.54.
England batter Harry Brook’s 31, 81* and 34 against Pakistan have lifted him 118 spots to 29th position. Meanwhile, Harris Rauf, Mark Wood and Sam Curran also made good jumps in the table after an impressive performance in the series.
