Several reports have claimed that BCCI wrote a letter to ICC informing the governing body that it won’t send the Indian team to Pakistan for next year’s event. ICC has forwarded the email to PCB apprising them of the Indian board’s stance.
In turn, PCB has shot back a letter asking for clarification from ICC regarding India’s refusal.
As the situation between BCCI and PCB intensifies, ICC’s bombshell leaves the room for the following scenarios:
- The PCB agrees to the hybrid model and five of the 15 games are played in UAE.
- The Champions Trophy is moved out of Pakistan, in which case the PCB might withdraw from the competition.
- The Champions Trophy is indefinitely postponed.
