U19 World Cup 2022

Indian squad for U19 World Cup 2022

New Delhi: The much-awaited biennial event ICC U19 World Cup 2022 has started in the West Indies on Friday. West Indies is also the host of the competition, getting the opportunity for the first time.  In the 14th edition of the competition, Bangladesh is the defending champions. Bangladesh snatched the title from India in 2020 by three wickets.

In the latest edition, 16 teams will clash to win the trophy. Notably, India won the competition for the record four times, followed by Australia (three times), Pakistan (two times). England, South Africa, Bangladesh, and West Indies have so far won the titles once apiece.

Reportedly, New Zealand decided not to play this year due to a long quarantine period. In place of New Zealand, organisers have given space to Scotland in the competition.

Indian viewers can watch the live stream of the competition on Disney+Hotstar.
