On the other hand, the Australian team, after having their worst World Cup start after 1992, won eight matches in a row to make their way into the finals.
In batting, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head are providing them with a crucial start, while Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Marnus Labuschange are taking care of the middle order.
In bowling, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazelwood have been consistent, while Starc and Cummins returning into form just before the finals have made the Aussies bowling attack even more dangerous.
The two teams have previously met 13 times in World Cup history, where the Aussies have the 8 to 5 lead over the men in blue, the most famous one being their 2003 World Cup finals victory.
The men in blue, who already took the 2019 World Cup revenge from New Zealand, will now be looking to take 2003 World Cup revenge against the Aussies and lift the World Cup in front of their home crowd and give the 1.4 billion Indians a reason to celebrate one more World Cup victory after a long wait of 12 years.
