New Delhi: The Afghanistan cricket team, despite their valiant efforts, failed to outclass the men in blue in the third T20i match of the three-match series, as the hosts swept the series by 3-0.

Afghanistan, with the help of their top order batsmen Rahmanullah Gurbaz (50), skipper Ibrahim Zadran (50), Mohammed Nabi (34) and Gulbadin Naib (55*), took the Indian bowling unit and ended the 213 runs chase on level terms, as well as managed to keep things on a tie after the first over.

However, despite all that, they failed to win the match and eventually lost the opportunity to create history with a win against India.

Notably, one of the most vital moments during the match was when Virat Kohli’s superman like efforts helped India save five runs, which later proved crucial in the later part of the game.

During the last ball of Afghanistan’s innings during the first super over, Mohammed Nabi decided to run on bye. Indian wicket-keeper Sanju Samson tried to run Nabi out, but the ball got deflected after hitting the batter’s leg, and he decided to run two more runs on it.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were visibly unhappy with Nabi’s unsportsmanlike conduct and were seen arguing with the umpire and batter.

In a now-going viral video, while Nabi was running third, Virat Kohli is seen not picking the ball while fielding, and Rohit is seen exchanging words with the Afghani batter.
