IND vs AUS, T20I series: The men in blue will be looking to seal the series in the third T20I in Guwahati

Australia will need to win the third T20i to stay alive in the series.

New Delhi: After a heartbreaking loss in the ICC World Cup 2023, finals against the Aussies, the men in blue will be looking to secure their first trophy, in the form of T20I series win against the Aussies.

India already has a 2-0 lead in the series, thanks to their explosive batting prowess, and will try to win the third ODI on Tuesday, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, to take the unassailable lead in the five-match series.

Australian cricket team on the other hand, except for the first innings of the first match has looked clueless against the man in blue and desperately needs a win on Tuesday, to keep the series alive for them.

India’s young attack

BCCI, after giving rest to most of the senior players for the series, after a hectic schedule of Asia Cup and ODI World Cup, decided to field a young T20 specialist side, under Surya Kumar Yadav’s leadership.

In batting Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad are looking dangerous in the opening position, with both players scoring a half-century in the second match.

Ishan Kishan, scored back-to-back fifties, while batting on number three and seem to have found his groove and a new batting position in the team.

Surya Kumar Yadav played a match-winning 80-run knock in the first match and looked in great touch despite getting out cheaply in the second match, while the biggest pro for the team from the series has come in the form of Rinku Singh, who is in a league of its own while batting towards the end of the innings.

Indian bowling has not looked very effective so far, but with a collective effort, they have managed to get the job done for the men in blue, making them the favourites to win the series.

Australia needs to find answers

Australia on the other hand have performed in bits and pieces in batting with Josh Inglish, Tim David and Steve Smith, taking the charge.

Australia’s bowling attack has not proven effective at all, as they have conceded 200+ runs in both matches and if they want to win the series, the bowlers have to step up before it’s too late for them.
