New Delhi: A day after Asia Cup 2022 cricket tournament kicks off on Saturday, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will begin their campaign with a clash against each other on Sunday evening.
In men’s cricket, the neighbouring nations that last played against one other in the T20 World Cup group stage match in 2021, are set for a face off for the first time in the ongoing year 2022.
In their last see-off, Babar Azam-led Pak squad had registered a striking 10-wicket win against India.
Though, the Indian team went through various changes since then including Rohit Sharma switching over as the captain instead of skipper Virat Kohli and several new faces joining the squad.
Cricketers Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya returned with a smash in stunning form, and ever since the IPL 2022 concluded, the men in blue have played in over 15 T20 matches while the Pak team has only come to action in just one game against Australia earlier this year.
