India Vs Pakistan again in September 2023 as arch rivals land in same group; Asia Cup details here

The Asia Cup 2023 will have 6 teams vying for the coveted trophy and will have a total of 13 matches in the tournament. A total of 6 league matches will be held & Super 4 games, followed by the grand final.

New Delhi: Arch rivals India and Pakistan, once again will have a fiery face-off on the cricket ground this year as the Asia Cup 2023 is slated to begin in September this year.

Both India & Pakistan have been slotted in the same group in Men’s ODI Asia Cup and the same was revealed by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah on Thursday. Along with them, Qualifier 1 (winner of Men’s Premiere Group) is the third team to find place in the same group for Qualifier 1 stage.

With both teams India & Pakistan in same group, the arch-rivals will lock horns again, giving the cricket aficionado, a fresh adrenalin surge.

Fans are excited and thrilled over the epic clash between Men in Blue & the Men in Green, slated for September this year. However, the venue for the high-voltage clash hasn’t been revealed yet.

Bangladesh, SriLanka, and Afghanistan have found place in the other group.

All eyes will be on the venue for grand final as Pakistan was set to be the host nation but the ACC is expected to moot a proposal before the ICC to take the tournament out of embattled nation.

The last clash between India and Pakistan took place just months ago and was watched by lakhs of cricket buffs in both nations. In the league stage, India thrashed Pakistan by 5 wickets in a thriller match . Asia Cup finale was widely speculated between the two teams but that didn’t happen as India failed to qualify for the Super 4 stage, as it lost a crucial match to Lanka. Lastly, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the final match and walked away with the trophy.
