New Delhi: Team India is all set to take on the host West Indies in the third & final One Day International (ODI) match in Trinidad & Tobago, with both teams eyeing victory in the series decider. The match was increasingly seen as one-sided with Men in Blue romping home with 3-0 victory in the ODI series, much like the Test series but a strong comeback by the Caribbean team in 2nd ODI turned the tables against India, thus leveling the series 1-1.
Whoever wins the decider match, that team will be adjudged the winner of ODI series. Team India, though considered one of strong contenders for ODI World Cup scheduled later this year, faltered in 2nd ODI and ruined its own chances of sealing the series.
Now, the team also runs risk of losing the series, if it fares poorly in today’s match. The Men in Blue also came under heavy criticism back home, following its disastrous show and 6-wicket humiliating defeat in 2nd ODI at Barbados.
