IPL 2022: RCB’s Kohli, du Plessis and Maxwell celebrate entry to playoffs; Tweet goes viral

It was no surprise that RCB was filled with happiness and excitement about the result and some of the players, including their former skipper, Virat Kohli took to social media to express their elation.

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore has qualified for the playoffs in the ongoing IPL 2022 with Mumbai Indians doing a favour to them as they defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets at the Wankhede Stadium on May 21. If Delhi Capitals would have defeated Mumbai Indians, the former would have qualified for the playoffs, quashing aside RCB.

However, a 34-run blitz from Tim David, made some major changes for DC, with MI emerging as the winner of the day. It was no surprise that RCB was filled with happiness and excitement about the result and some of the players, including their former skipper, Virat Kohli took to social media to express their elation.

Kolhi first tweeted a plan emoji with Kolkata written next to it which signified that RCB will be playing the playoff in Kolkata.

After a few hours, Virat Kohli again shared a picture with RCB teammates Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell, all three with their tongues out. Kohli captioned it “Feels” accompanied by a heart emoji.

The post went viral, garnering over 120k likes and over 9,000 retweets.

On Saturday, Delhi Capitals lost the toss and were put to bat. Jasprit Bumrah secured three wickets for 25 runs off his four overs. Delhi Capitals managed to score 159 runs for seven. Rovman Powell was the top scorer with 43 runs off 34 balls.

On the other hand, MI lost  Rohit Sharma early but Ishan Kishan and Dewald Brevis contributed a fine partnership. In the end, Tim David came and smashed 34 runs off 11 to help MI win the night.
