IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals team mates excited over Rishabh Pant’s ‘return’, extend warm wishes (VIDEO)

His team mates, gearing up for the first home ground match today wished Rishabh Pant a quick & speedy recovery while others deeply missed his presence on the ground.

New Delhi: Amid reports of Rishabh Pant joining his team Delhi Capitals for Tuesday’s clash, from the stadium, his team mates are excited, elated & overjoyed with the cricketer’s return.

The return of Rishabh Pant comes on a day when Delhi Capitals is playing its first game on the home ground against Gujarat Titans. Rishabh Pant is likely to join the match as audience in the Arun Jaitley stadium and will be cheering for his team from the stands. This will be the first time that the cricketer will be entering the cricket field in about four months.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) today shared a video of Delhi Capitals team members, where they wished their beloved cricketer a quick recovery & return to the field. Some others lauded his exercise regimen and hoped that he is back on the pitch soon.


Prithvi Shaw, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Rovman Powell & Kamlesh Nagakoti were among those who shared video message for Pant.

“Can see you videos are going well now. Baby steps are coming now. Really happy to see how you are recovering,” Shaw said in the video.

“I hope you recover well. I know you are supporting us and we will try to win it for you brother,” said Powell.
Pant to attend Delhi IPL match

Earlier, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma confirmed to newsmen that arrangements were in place for cricketer’s reception at the stadium.

Shyam Sharma, Director of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), had earlier confirmed to IANS that special arrangements have been made to ensure Pant smoothly watches the game at the stadium.

This will be Pant’s first appearance in the stadium, months after surviving a fatal car crash. The cricketer’s car dangerously crashed on December 30 while on his way to home in Roorkee but he managed to escape the horrific car accident.
