New Delhi: The fever of Indiaโ€™s biggest cricket carnival is back, as all the franchises have finally released their official retention list for the 2024 IPL (Indian Premier League).

The IPL is going to hold a mini auction on December 19, for the 2024 season, before holding the mega auction next year.

The teams are all set to add utility players to their squad, either through the trade window or the auction, while the latter will take place on December 19, but the final date for the former is November 26, till 04:00 p.m. IST.

The defending champions CSK have released a total of 8 players, including their most expensive acquisition of all time Ben Stokes.

Two-time champions KKR have released 12 players, including Shardul Thakur, while in a shocking move, PBKS has let go of explosive middle-order batsman Shahrukh Khan.

Interestingly, to everyone’s surprise, the most anticipated move did not take place as Hardik Pandya’s rumoured move to Mumbai Indians proved to be a hoax, as Gujrat Titan’s skipper will continue to lead them in IPL 2024.

All the teams have tried to put some money in their auction purse with some big releases, ensuring the auction of December 19, to be an exciting one.
