New Delhi: India’s Vijayveer Sidhu secures the silver medal behind Estonia’s Peeter Olesk in men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event on Friday at the ISSF World Cup.

Both of them tied for the top spot at the end of the 30-shot final with 26 hits each. Vijayveer managed to shot brilliantly to score four out of five hits in the 8th and final series. On the other hand Peeter Olesk got four hits to pull out the top prize after giving a tough competition in the finals.

The other two Indians in the final, Ashish Bhanwala and Gurpreet Singh placed fifth and sixth position. In Qualification round 2, Gurpreet was placed in the third position with a total score of 581, shooting 290 in 1st stage and 291 in the 2nd. With a total score of 579 Anish placed fifth and Vijayveer Sidhu too grabbed the sixth and final qualifying spot with an aggregate of 579.
