New Delhi: The ugly altercation between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)’s Virat Kohli and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir triggered a wave of meme fest on Twitter late last night and continues to dominate the trends today.
The nasty quarrel first broke out between Virat Kohli & LSG’s bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and then with team’s mentor Gautam Gambhir. The altercation happened when Kohli & Naveen-Ul-Haq were shaking hands after the completion of match.
Some harsh words were reportedly exchanged between Kohli & Naveen. Gambhir stepped in to settle the dispute but it turned more ugly and soon it was Kohli Vs Gambhir on the field. Many videos of the verbal altercation between 2 Indian cricket stalwarts went viral on social media.

In the match, RCB beat LSG by 18 runs at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The verbal duel between the duo on field, though lasted for a few seconds, ignited wave of reactions off field, from cricket lovers as well as commoners.
Though, many spoke against overzealous aggression on field, some were okay with it terming it sportsman spirit while some saw it as deterioration in cricketing standards. No wonder, Gautam & Kohli, both were fined 100% of match fee for on-field drama last night.

This is not the first time that Guatam Gambhir & Virat Kohli have been at odds. It was in 2013 when the duo had got into an infamous fight during the RCB VS KKR match in IPL.
