New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore witnessed an interesting net session where their ace batter Virat Kohli and ace pacer Mohammed Siraj faced each other ahead of the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Both of them are regulars in the Indian team and a clash between them was a nail-biter to watch out for. While Virat smashed a few deliveries, Siraj came back strong in the neck-to-neck fight.

In the video shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore, Siraj can be seen bowling to Kohli during a training session and initially, the pacer got hit for a big one. Siraj then took the initiative and beat Kohli with seam movement and proved that he is great with the new ball even in front of the best batters in the world. The deliveries that came close to Virat’s body got hit for shots straight down the ground and pull shots.

Kohli appreciated Siraj as he made a few balls miss. The video also shows Siraj saying that he was able to generate some swing with the new ball, but as the ball got old ‘King Kohli’ showed his class and he was just getting hit.

In IPL 2023, Virat Kohli scored 279 runs in seven games at an average of 46.5 and at a strike rate of 141, while Siraj is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 13 wickets in seven games. They both have been the match-winners for the franchise this season.
