Notably, team India will try its best to bring home the first gold of the tournament. However, a silver medal is at least confirmed for India. The match started on at 11:30 AM IST onwards at the pre-decided venue in Thailand's capital Bangkok. Earlier, India defeated Germany by 5-0, followed by Canada by 5-0, Malasiya by 3-2 in the quarterfinals, and Denmark by 3-2 in the semi-finals, to secure its place in the final. On the other hand, Indonesia reached the final after thrashing China and Japan in the quarters and semis, respectively.
