Federer, the winner of 20 Grand Slams, will be pairing up with his arch-rival Rafael Nadal, in what is going to be an exciting and historic game. They will play for Team Europe against the Team World duo of Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock, who were also the semifinalists in the US Open. In the past, the two legends have paired up to win the doubles match in the 2017 Laver Cup.

In February this year, Nadal came up with the idea of playing the doubles with Federer. He said, “If we’re able to possibly share the court one more time as a doubles pairing, then this would be a truly special experience for us both at this stage in our careers.”

Recently, Federer shared a note on social media saying that it is tough to keep up with his health and play competitive Tennis, and announced his retirement. As he says goodbye to a 24-year career he thanked his family, friends, competitors and fans.
