Mayanti Langer’s ‘not everyone is Ravindra Jadeja’ remark leaves Sanjay Manjrekar speechless on Live TV [VIDEO]

Langer stopped Manjrekar from completing any further with a witty take as she said, “Sanjay, not everyone is Ravindra Jadeja”

New Delhi: In the cricket world, ICC’s fresh rule to tackle slow over-rate is a matter of discourse post the recently concluded India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing Asia Cup, wherein both the teams had to bring in an extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle by the end of the highly thrilling match.

Veteran cricketers Scott Styris and Sanjay Manjrekar were in a discussion panel regarding the same with TV presenter Mayanti Langer before the match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan on Tuesday.

Keeping his poin-of-view on the issue, Styris said, “We have seen that a lot of spinners don’t like to bowl in the death it seems. Even the great Rashid Khan isn’t a big fan of it. Now if you have one less fielder to protect you have to change your entire strategy on the lines he has to bowl in particular”.

“Teams would then have to protect one side of the boundary rather than have fielders on both sides. So those are the adjustments that have to be made and hence they have get their spinners done a little earlier now”, he added.

The other panelist and former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was quick to add a point to Styris’s observations as he said, “One very quick suggestion and a very simple tactic. Just bowl your overs quicker”.

Mayanti Langer stopped him from completing any further with a witty take as she said, “Sanjay, not everyone is Ravindra Jadeja. I had to it. See I just got a ‘gone one’ from Sanjay”.
