New Delhi: At the Indian Premiere League mini-Auction 2024 in Dubai, cricketer Rishabh Pant stole the show with his presence on the auction table.
Moments later, he captivated the attention of his fans & well-wishers with his appearance on the tennis court. He along with his ‘idol’ Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MSD) were seen trying hands at the sport in the evening, post the IPL auction 2024.
As the two played tennis at an indoor tennis court in Dubai, the video of their sporting moment surfaced on social media and went viral. While Pant knocked some lusty blows, it drew loud cheers from the audience and also left Dhoni pleasantly surprised.

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter, who has been out of all cricketing assignments after life-threatening mishap, was seen sitting with the Delhi Capitals owners and taking keen interest while the players went down the hammer.

MS Dhoni was however missing from the IPL Auction table. Dhoni, set to lead his side Chennai Super Kings was conspicous by his absence on the auction table.
Rishabh’s return to IPL
Reports suggest that Rishabh Pant is likely to return in the 17th edition of IPL, his first since his fatal car crash in December 2022.
Pant has been under recuperating after severe accident and under medical supervision, while he prepares to return to active cricket in sometime from now. Sources suggest that IPL 2024 could see him taking to the field and also leading the Delhi team.
